Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd shall not be required to accept the return of any goods, unless defective within the warranty period, if at the customer`s direction the goods have been:
- physically altered;
- partially or entirely disassembled;
- joined or combined with non-compatible products resulting in damage to goods and / or property.
Customers may return any product bought from Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd within the manufacturer warranty period if the product is or becomes defective under normal usage subject to manufacturer`s warranty policy as outlined in Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd`s warranty policy.
Returns
Returns take place after the ordered products have been paid for and have been delivered to the customer.
- In the event of an order returned due to non-delivery (recipient not available at specified delivery address during attempts by our shipping partners), the transit costs will be at the expense of the customer.
- Damaged goods must be reported to Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd within 10 business days after delivery has taken place in order to be eligible for returns / exchanges. Customers must ensure that the returned products are back at our premises a maximum 15 business days after the delivery date.
- No refunds or exchanges are allowed for scratched (cosmetic damage), or physically damaged products after the delivery note / waybill was signed without noting any form of damage on the waybill in the presence of the delivery driver. The absence of noting any damages on the delivery note / waybill shall be sufficient proof that any physical damage to the products did not occur during or before delivery of the products to the customer.
- No refunds or exchanges are allowed for installed, scratched (cosmetic damage), or damaged products, other than as set out in our warranty policy.
- No refunds or exchanges will be allowed if tampering is evident on any returned product.
- Removal of and / or clear tampering damage to warranty seals of any product nullifies the product`s eligibility for return or refund.
- No inverter or battery will be eligible for return / exchange if the warranty seals have been broken as a result of opening the casing for fault finding purposes or as a result of failed repair attempts by any person other than the manufacturer`s authorised repair technicians.
- Serial numbers of returned items must match our records.
- Products need to be thoroughly inspected upon opening and any contents of the box that seems missing or incorrect need to be reported to us immediately – we need pictures of all the items in the box to be emailed to sales@amplen.co.za and we will take this up with our various suppliers. Once installed we cannot assist with missing, damaged or incorrect items and this will be for the customer’s account.
- Customers may request a full refund within 10 business days after delivery in accordance with sections 16, 19 (5) & (8), 20, 55 (3), & 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008. Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd does charge a 20% handling fee which is to be deducted from the refund amount. Products returned must be unused, undamaged and in a resalable as new condition, and must include the original packaging material, manuals, blank warranty cards, and other additional accessories provided with the product by the manufacturer. Customers must ensure that the returned products are back at our premises a maximum 15 business days after the delivery date.
- Customers may return products that were correctly supplied as per their order within 10 business days of taking delivery of such products, for a refund minus a 20% restocking fee which is to be deducted from the refund amount. Products returned must be unused, undamaged and in a resalable as new condition, and must include the original packaging material, manuals, blank warranty cards, and other additional accessories provided with the product by the manufacturer. Customers must ensure that the returned products are back at our premises a maximum 15 business days after the delivery date.
- If any component of the returned product is missing, Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd may refuse to accept the return or may alternatively impose additional charges against the customer for the replacement of the missing component.
- Customers are responsible for return shipping unless otherwise specifically agreed upon in a written agreement.
- It is highly recommended that customers include insurance for the entire value of the shipment for all reverse logistics (returns of products) to Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd.
- Customers are required to bear the cost of shipping as well as the cost of shipping insurance required for the entire value of the shipment to return the product to Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd. The customer agrees that Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd cannot be held liable for the shipping costs for returns and / or warranty returns of products from the customer to Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd.
- Should the customer not include shipping insurance for the entire value of the shipment to return products to Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd, the risk of loss for the products in the shipment remains for the customer`s account. The customer indemnifies Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd for any loss whatsoever that may occur during transport of the products from the customer to Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd.
- Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd is under no obligation to refund any costs incurred for reverse logistics to customers.
- Returns to Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd`s premises must take place between 8am and 4pm on a business day.
- Proof of purchase is required for all returns.
Non-returnable products
Non-returnable products include, but are not limited to the following (unless they arrive defective or damaged at the customer`s delivery address):
- Custom made items according to customer specifications;
- Cut-to-length electrical wires & cables;
- Communication cables & data cables;
- Fuses & fuse holders;
- Pre-wired / pre-fabricated DB boards;
- Solar mounting accessories & solar rails;
- Solar carports & ground mount structures;
- Clearance or on-sale items at the time of purchase;
- Any used / opened products with no manufacturing defect except in the case of warranty claims as per our warranty policy;
- Any undamaged items outside of the 10 business days after the time of delivery in accordance with the CPA (Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008) of which no visual damage was recorded on the delivery note / waybill which should be signed by the customer.
Returns process
Please follow the next steps to initiate a return:
- Send an e-mail requesting return of an order to sales@amplen.co.za which contains:
- The reason for the return;
- Proof of purchase of the order;
- Copy of customer ID Document;
- Customer contact number;
- Proof of customer`s banking account into which the refund must be paid.
- Please submit all required documents, photos, proof of purchase, as well as other applicable information as guided by our returns team via email communication.
- Repair centres may take up to 21 days for warranty claim assessments from the date of arrival of the product at the repair centre.
- All products that are returned must be correctly packaged in original packaging or similarly packaged to original packaging for protection during transport.
- Returned products undergo thorough inspection by our sales and technical staff, and may be subject to further inspection by the manufacturer if deemed necessary at Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd`s sole discretion.
- Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd will now update the customer on the progress of the returned products whether it be for a refund, exchange or warranty claim.
- Any cash refund to be made will be made by EFT (electronic funds transfer) to the account from which the payment was originally made, or alternatively to a nominated account of which the proof of account must be provided by the customer to Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd.
- Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd will aim to process any refund within 15 Business days of the date on which Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd confirms in writing to the customer that a refund will be made.
Cancellations
Cancellations take place after the ordered products have been paid for, are possibly picked and packed by our warehouse staff, but the products have not yet been handed over to our courier partners, or to a customer`s specific courier for delivery to the customer.
- Any order is subject to cancellation by Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd if the products ordered becomes unavailable due to any cause beyond Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd`s reasonable control.
- Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd cannot be held liable for any standing time loss, delay in construction, construction progress fines or any loss of profit whatsoever as a result of cancelling an order due to non-availability of products or parts.
- A cancellation timeframe of 24-hours will take effect once an order has been placed. If the customer cancels the order after the 24-hour timeframe, then a 5% penalty fee will be incurred by the customer for the reverse-processing of the order by Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd.
- A restocking fee may be applicable for cancellations on orders of bulky products such as solar panels.
- In the event of a cancellation for specially manufactured or ordered products or goods, the deposit on these products or goods is non-refundable.

- Proof of purchase of the order;

- Proof of customer`s banking account into which the refund must be paid;
- Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd will aim to process any refund within 15 Business days of the date on which Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd confirms in writing to the customer that a refund will be made.
Refunds
Refunds will be handled as follows:
- Any cash refund to be made will be made by EFT (electronic funds transfer) to the account from which the payment was originally made, or alternatively to a nominated account of which the proof of account must be provided by the customer to Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd.
- Any applicable handling fee`s, restocking fee`s, or penalty fee`s will be deducted from the refund amount before the refund is paid to a customer.
- Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd is under no obligation to refund any costs incurred for reverse logistics to customers.
- Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd will aim to process any refund within 15 Business days of the date on which Amplen Industries (Pty) Ltd confirms in writing to the customer that a refund will be made.
